Marreco House is ideal for accommodating a large family or group of friends. It is set approximately 2km from the main house but within the grounds of the Quinta. It is a new house built in a rustic, Portuguese style and is painted the same warm golden yellow as the main Quinta.

This stunning property nestles on a hill and offers complete privacy. It enjoys uninterrupted views across rolling fields, orchards, vineyards and eucalyptus and pine forests.

The house has its own large private swimming pool which offers swimmers and sunbathers a breathtaking view and the sensation of swimming right out into the valley as the pool overflows on to the valley side.

Spectacular views of the most stunning, unspoilt countryside can be enjoyed from all the windows. The living room enjoys a panoramic view of the valley.

All rooms are bright and airy and have been tastefully decorated and furnished with great attention to detail. Ann’s artistic touches can be noted in her use of natural materials and soft tones throughout.

This house offers a very high standard of accommodation, ensuring that guests are comfortable and have all that they need.

Your charming hosts, James and Ann Frost, have lived on the Quinta since 1993 with their family. Quinta de Sant’ana has been in Ann’s family since the 1960s. The Quinta is their lives and they have worked very hard to maintain the original charm of an old Portuguese working farm. They have recently invested in the wine producing facilities of the Quinta. Guests will be made very welcome by the hosts and their children.

The holiday villa offers the following accommodation:

* Large living/dining room with open fireplace, satellite TV and Video

* 2 double bedrooms

* 2 twin bedrooms

* Kitchen with gas hob, gas oven, microwave oven, large fridge/ freezer, dishwasher

* 2 ensuite bathrooms with free-standing baths with overhead showers

* 2 extra bathrooms

* Utility room with washing machine

* Garden room with small kitchen for preparing outdoor meals

* Upstairs terrace

* Downstairs terrace

* Garden furniture

* Barbeque

* Metered central heating

* Private swimming pool

* Private parking

* All linen provided (except beach towels)

* Cleaning service and linen/towel change on a weekly basis. Extra cleaning on request.

* Guests are asked to pay a non-refundable 30% deposit at the point of reservation. The remainder is due on arrival.

* Payments can be made in cash (euros) or by bank transfer.

* There is no credit card facility at this property.

* All payments are made directly to the property owner.

The owners will endeavour to find other dates suitable to clients if cancellation of the initial reservation is necessary. However, the 30% deposit paid on reservation is non-refundable.

Changeover day:
Changeover day for all self-catering houses is Saturday.

Children are very welcome and will be made so by the hosts and their children. The following facilities are available for young children and babies:

A personal laundry service is offered to guests at an extra cost.
