One of 3 properties on the Quinta de Sant'Ana estate situated to the north of Lisbon at the edge of the village of Gradil.

This house is like a little cottage and is all on one level. It was originally the wine distillery and is located next to the old ‘Adega' (wine cellar) which is still used today to make wine in the traditional way.

The house is approached through its own independent wrought iron gate from the village road.. A long driveway lined by olive trees leads up to the property. The olive trees offer welcome shade on hot days. There is a pleasant cobbled terrace to the front of the property with garden furniture for alfresco eating.

The house has been carefully renovated and retains many of the characteristics of a typical, small Portuguese house. The accommodation is tastefully decorated and well furnished, ensuring that guests are comfortable and have everything that they need.

Your charming hosts, James and Ann Frost, have lived on the Quinta since 1993 with their family. Quinta de Sant’ana has been in Ann’s family since the 1960s. The Quinta is their lives and they have worked very hard to maintain the original charm of an old Portuguese working farm. They have recently invested in the wine producing facilities of the Quinta. Guests will be made very welcome by the hosts and their children.

The holiday cottage offers the following accommodation:

* Living/dining room with open fireplace, french windows on to terrace, large comfortable armchairs, sofabed, satellite TV and Video

* 2 Twin bedrooms

* Kitchen with gas hob, gas oven, microwave oven, fridge with freezer compartment, a cosy corner bench round the table offers an alternative to outdoor eating

* Bathroom with bath with overhead shower

* Terrace with garden furniture and barbeque

* Metered central heating

* Private parking

* Shared use of large swimming pool

* All linen provided (except beach towels)

* Cleaning service and linen/towel change on a weekly basis. Extra cleaning on request.

* Guests are asked to pay a non-refundable 30% deposit at the point of reservation. The remainder is due on arrival.

* Payments can be made in cash (euros) or by bank transfer.

* There is no credit card facility at this property.

* All payments are made directly to the property owner.

The owners will endeavour to find other dates suitable to clients if cancellation of the initial reservation is necessary. However, the 30% deposit paid on reservation is non-refundable.

Changeover day:
Changeover day for all self-catering houses is Saturday.

Children:
Children are very welcome and will be made so by the hosts and their children. The following facilities are available for young children and babies:
