The original manor house, dating from 1914, is an example of an elegant dwelling of wealthy Madeiran landowners. It has been meticulously restored with great attention to detail, and now provides a sophisticated setting for the hotel’s restaurant, breakfast room, bar and library. Don’t miss breakfast or an evening aperitif on the terrace and delight in the view and serenity of the surroundings.

Carefully designed to fit snugly and unobtrusively into the hillside, the modern wing consists of three floors of purpose built accommodation, comprising a total of 44 rooms and 2 suites, all south-facing and with private veranda and magnificent sea views. Families can be accommodated by linking some of the rooms. Guests with reduced mobility can also be catered for.

The rooms are elegantly and comfortably decorated in a classic style and all have ample wardrobe space, private bathroom and satellite TV.

The staff are a real credit to the philosophy of the hotel, and are extremely courteous, helpful and friendly.

Quinta do Estreito is set in attractive landscaped gardens, and the heated swimming pool is surrounded by a solarium with sun loungers, bathroom/shower facilities and a bar. The pool can be covered to permit use in all weathers.

The hotel offers a choice of 2 restaurants, ranging from the sophisticated “Bacchus” restaurant located in the manor house to the more rustic and informal “Adega da Quinta” occupying the original wine cellar, situated in the gardens and boasting an inviting outdoor terrace with superb views.

Reservations are confirmed on receipt of credit card details (name, number, security number and validity date). Your credit card will then be charged on arrival at the hotel.

All payments are made directly to the hotel.

Although all efforts will be made to re-accommodate guests who need to cancel, cancellation charges are as follows:
- Cancellation with more than 15 days warning: 50% of total price
- Cancellation with less than 15 days warning or no-show: 100%

Guests on Half-board terms can choose to take their meals in any of the restaurants of the group.
