Who are we?
“Blue Paradise” is a company formed by two British friends living in Portugal. The company is a fully registered Portuguese company with head office in Lisbon.
How are properties selected for the Blue Paradise website?
Properties are selected very carefully. We visit all properties ourselves in order to get to know the owners and aquaint ourselves with the accommodation. In this way we make sure that the properties meet the standard and fit the ambience of our site. The majority of our places to stay are set in rural, off the beaten track locations away from the more commonly visited tourist spots.
We do not have a rigid set of criteria for selection of properties except that they have to be the type of places where we would like to take our own holidays. Our aim is to promote those which, in our opinion, offer something special. This may be a combination of the location, the building, the decor, the atmosphere, the charm of the hosts, the level of service or the facilities available. Luxury and sophistication are not necessarily deciding factors.
What happens when I submit an availability request?
Your request is immediately forwarded to the respective property or hotel, and we aim to have a reply for you within 48 hours.
Why should I book through Blue Paradise?
We offer you a personalised service. We are available to offer suggestions on your choice of holiday accommodation according to your needs and interests as well as offer you a personalised advisory service and save you time and hassle when planning your holiday. We are here to help!
You will never pay more when booking through Blue Paradise than you would if you went direct to the property. In addition, special promotions may enable us to offer you advantageous terms. You will never be paying more than the property's advertised walk-in price.
We live in Portugal and speak the language and so can communicate your needs and interests to property owners as well as help with any other issues where the language barrier may otherwise be a problem.
Is it safe to make a booking through Blue Paradise?
Our privacy policy ensures that your personal data is only used for the purpose of making your reservations. We do not sell your personal information to any third parties beyond the scope of our reservations service.
How much will it cost me to use the Blue Paradise website?
Nothing. We make no charge or service fee to our customers.
Who, how and where do I pay?
You will pay directly to the properties. As many of our featured properties are small concerns, there are many different forms of payment and many do not work with credit cards. The payment conditions for each property are set out on the respective web page. If you have any doubts or queries, we are here to help!
Will I get confirmation of my reservation?
Yes. We will always send you e-mail confirmation once your reservation has been made. This will include a Blue Paradise booking reference, as well as the address, phone and fax number of the property.
How do I get to the property?
When we confirm your reservation we will send you detailed instructions on how to reach your destination including the GPS coordinates. For your general orientation we recommend that you buy a good road map of Portugal which will enable you to locate the general area where you will be staying. However, particularly in rural areas, some of the locations and access roads will not be shown on the maps so in these cases you will be guided by our directions!
